The Slideshow of Good Stuff

So this is a slideshow of the photos that I have uploaded to Flickr. Most of these pictures were taken with our Camera and one is a piece of Art, drawn by yours truly. As I thought about what kind of photos expressed the way I am trying to move in my pursuit of healthy living, I remembered all the photos I took of the food that my wife and I were eating as we became Raw Vegans over three years ago. Since then, I have let my diet lax and now am trying desperately to get back on track. As I remembered all the time and effort that went into these foods, and also the many hours of design and creative thought that went into the art, it gave me more momentum to keep moving in the direction that I need to for myself, my wife, and my children. I decided to add the Art because my wife and I had been trying to have children for over 6 years before going Raw Vegan. One year later, my wife got pregnant. I will always believe that what we put into our bodies is what we are, and it struck me that it is also what our children will start from as they grow in their mother’s womb. Pretty deep yo!

  1. You're quite an artist bro. I'm very impressed. If you're not an artist by trade it might be worth considering.

  2. That food looked so delish!!! Very nice pictures of a great habbit to be! And I agree with Eugene, you have quite the knack for photography! Keep up all the hard work as it pays off sooner than you know it.

  3. I liked (the picture) of the raw and cooked corn salad. It looked like it would taste very good. The juice feast also looked interesting. During the summer, my wife will juice cucumbers and limes for me so I have that juice to drink after I come back from jogging. (I prefer the summer heat to jog in, as it seems to reduce my stress.) That juice helps with my recovery time after jogging. None of the sport drinks comes close to rehydrating me as well as the cucumbers and lime juice mixture.
Regarding comment “let my diet lax”, that is me as well. Now that the Holidays are upon us, I have a real hard time controlling what I eat.

  4. Lots and lots of greens you have there! Which of course is a perfectly healthy and balanced meal. Looking at you're photos made me very hungry and not just for any type of food but for actual healthy meals. I'm going to raid my fridge right now...

  6. Defintely not pictures that I should have looked at when I am hungry! I love salads and those made me crave one. I am sitting at CSN waiting for class to start and doing my homework so I have at least 3 hours until i can eat! Very nicely done and a great art piece as well, you should be very proud of yourself.

  7. Hard to say what's more artistic, the layout of the foods, or the snapshots of them. But what can be said, is it doesn't take an artist to know a natural one.

  8. Yumm...the food in those photos look delicious. I've picked up a couple of raw foods books but have never really given any a try. I may have to give it a try now. I'm drooling over the apple pie.
